A total of 257 species were registered by Identidad Madidi efforts between 2015 and 2018, equivalent to 160% of the species recorded in the park in the baseline before Madidi Identity (161 species). At present, the number of confirmed fish species reaches 333 species. Of the species recorded, 10 are new to Bolivia and 35 are potentially new to science. Given that studies to date have only covered some of the basins that drain the Madidi area, it is probable that the number of species records will increase significantly as studies are conducted in the missing basins.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>
